ARTIST STATEMENT

Our world is in flux—shaped by both action and inaction. Through my artwork, I document this evolving story, using photography as a bridge between art and advocacy. I explore how human behavior, politics, and environmental forces collide, revealing the impact of our choices on the landscapes we inhabit. My approach is rooted in montage photography, where I weave together multiple images—sometimes two, sometimes four—to create layered narratives. Along with that, emotional fluidity is crucial to my process, sometimes showcasing frustration, urgency, reflection, and hope allowing my work to be as honest and unpredictable as the climate crisis itself.

My journey has taken me across India, the USA, Germany, Spain, Kenya, and Morocco, where I have witnessed the resilience of communities facing environmental upheaval. From disappearing coastlines to urban spaces adapting to new climate realities, each image is both a reflection and a question: How do we respond to the changes unfolding around us?

Historically, art has been a catalyst for social change. Yet today, we live in a time where facts alone fail to inspire action. Visual storytelling has the power to reconnect us emotionally, bridging the gap between knowledge and urgency. My work is not just about documenting what is—it is about provoking conversations on what could be. Since social change is often driven first by emotions and only later by rational thought and moral judgment, artistic engagement plays a crucial role in fostering societal transformations related to climate change

This ongoing series is more than just a collection of photographs; it is an invitation. Each montage is a dialogue, a reckoning, and a call to engage—not as distant spectators, but as active participants in shaping a more sustainable future. The question is no longer if change will come, but how we choose to shape it.
